About

Whitney Dominguez

With over seven years of experience in the field of psychology, I have developed a diverse set of skills to support children, adults, and couples as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward a more fulfilling life. I believe that our past experiences often shape how we respond to present circumstances and cope with stress. Gaining a deeper understanding of these patterns can lead to meaningful insight and lasting changes in how we view ourselves, our relationships, and our lives. I have extensive experience working with individuals facing dual diagnosis and co-occurring disorders, including anxiety and depression related to substance use and addiction. I often incorporate recovery-based support systems such as Alcoholics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, and Refuge Recovery as part of the healing process. My approach is collaborative and focused on helping clients develop practical skills that foster personal growth, resilience, and a deeper sense of purpose. Using an integrative approach that draws from psychodynamic, person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies, I help clients build effective coping strategies, establish healthy boundaries, shift limiting beliefs, strengthen relationships, improve self-esteem, process grief and loss, and reconnect with their authentic voice. Seeking support takes courage, and by exploring your options for help, you have already taken an important first step. I look forward to supporting you as you face past challenges, build healthier patterns, and continue moving forward in your recovery and personal growth. I am fully licensed to practice in both Texas and California, allowing me to serve clients across both states via telehealth. Texas Board License: #204304; California Board License: #113519.
